About Our 2025 Benefactor

Capital College and Career Academy (CCCA) is dedicated to fostering an educational environment where students not only excel academically but are also thoroughly prepared for the workforce. Unique in the region, CCCA has established dual enrollment agreements with Sacramento State and American River College, enabling students to undertake college-level coursework while still in high school. Their primary focus is on incoming 9th-grade students who are intrinsically motivated and seek an academically rigorous and hands-on learning experience.

Graduates of CCCA will leave with a substantial number of college credits, specialized certifications, and extensive practical training, rendering them highly competitive in both higher education and the job market. The innovative curriculum at CCCA offers students transformative opportunities, equipping them with real-world experience and practical skills that will pave the way for their future success.

Why Choose CCCA for High School?

CCCA provides a high school education that is both engaging and applicable to real-world contexts. Their educational model transcends traditional classroom boundaries by emphasizing authentic, experiential learning. Each class is designed to incorporate hands-on learning activities, often involving collaboration with industry professionals. Students at CCCA actively contribute to shaping the school’s culture and community through leadership in clubs, on-campus activities, and sports.

N

Why Is CCCA Needed Now?

In California, only 30% of current ninth-grade students are projected to earn a Bachelor’s Degree. There is a significant gap in high-paying careers that do not require a four-year degree, particularly in sectors such as information technology, healthcare, and the building trades. The existing K-14 education system has not sufficiently adapted to meet the evolving needs of the modern workforce. CCCA addresses this gap by ensuring that students are both college accelerated, and career prepared, graduating with a comprehensive understanding of their interests, passions, and the various pathways available to them.

N

Encouraging Exploration in High School

High school should serve as a period for students to explore their interests and passions while developing skills that will prepare them for their future endeavors. CCCA’s mission is to equip the workforce of tomorrow by nurturing critical thinkers who are ready for both college and career challenges through a distinctive career technical education program. We offer students in Sacramento a robust educational experience that integrates rigorous academic instruction with extensive career exploration, culminating in paid internships.

N

Authentic Learning Experiences

CCCA students benefit from direct engagement with industry partners who frequently lead classroom activities. Additionally, students participate in various off-campus learning opportunities, including field trips, career fairs, job shadowing, and paid internships. Our educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that meaningful, hands-on experiences are essential for effective learning and student engagement.
